Company Mission The sumptuous costuming and spirited dance traditions of Silk Road cultures are a vital part of world dance history and practice. Our mission is to delight and inform our audiences while introducing them to these traditions. Laurel Victoria Gray, Artistic Director, has spent considerable time studying and researching these dance forms in the Near East; she has made ten trips to Uzbekistan alone and maintains a considerable collection of valuable authentic costumes. Ms. Gray's lifelong devotion to these dances and her skill as choreographer and costumer ensure fine performances. Historically accurate costumes provide a visual feast; the varied dance program maintains interest and provides stimulating contrasts; evocative dances and music capture and transmit the spirit of each region they represent.
