The Golden Road to Samarkand

This imaginative concert is inspired by the Silk
Road Dance Company's 2005 performance in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The history and legends surrounding
the glorious city of Samarkand provide the foundation for this exciting production featuring traditional Uzbek, Tajik, Persian, Indian, and Chinesedance along with fanciful episodes. An enchanted caravan encounterssandstorms, evil Jinn, and Celestial Maidens, and more before reaching the Court of Tamerlane.
