Wedding in Bukhara presented timeless dances and rituals from the hidden world of the ich kari - the women's quarters- that welcome a new bride into the family. Silk Road Dance Company and guest artists recreated a 19th century, women-only celebration with Uzbek, Tajik, Afghan, Persian, Uighur and Indian pieces performances reflecting the ethnic diversity of Bukhara, ancient oasis city on the Silk Road.
